This cartoon won an award for best short animated movie in the 1980's.

Interesting! I have never heard of those cartoons nor did I watch them. But it's the same guys that did Tom n Jerry (Oooh I loved those cartoons!).

I'll give them a watch soon :)

The only midnight Cartoon show that I can think of is South Park. and I can't say I enjoyed it.

I just watched The Cat Came Back... probably a bit too dark for me, I have to admit :-[ I liked the song though :)

Starbeast: "The Cat Came Back" video, I saw as a teenager and laughed with repeated viewings. I've seen it on a midnight tv show, the show featured previews, cartoons, interveiws, documentaries and cutting edge music videos from around the world. I miss that show."

I never liked those drawings. They are not very appealing, I find.
