Here's some alien news: There's this ex-NASA astronaut (who's been to the moon quite a bit in the 70's) and he says that: >he has seen aliens >they look like the stereotype - big heads and small bodies >their technology is much more advnaced than ours >they are among us >governments have been covering this up for the past 60 years. www.3news.co.nz/Video/ScienceTech/tabid/311/articleID/64364/Default.aspx#videoThere's also some X-Files footage in that video, so doesn't look like the news people are taking it seriously

One day they may just show up.
[glow=red,2,300]This is what it might look like if they arrive and fly around out in the open for all of us to witness. Then they'd probably land and try to communicate with us.[/glow]

By request of Beastie and to avoid confusion, this thread (previously known as Aliens) will be from now on dedicated to the Paranormal creatures of our world (... or is it!)

- Out of Body experience -
I can, perhaps, believe that people close to death can experience it. They know they will die soon, they feel they are dead and start to imagine things. I have a book called "The World's Greatest Mysteries" and there is an account there of a healthy woman, who says she can induce an Out Of Body Experience whenever she wants it. So she went as a volunteer to Dr Tart who studied this paranormal activity. On the first night, she was in a peaceful sleep which indeed was mirrored in her brainwave patterns. The next night she said that she claims that her spirit floated up and she saw on the wall a clock with the time showing 3.35. Dr Tart hid clock in the room, and when he checked the brainwave patterns he saw that her sleep was erratic and disturbed at exactly that time. For the next two nights, a similar thing happened.
Is this all made up? Is there a psychological explanation? Is she a nutter or an alien?

Very interesting Honey Bunny, I know a friend who had heart surgery and he told me that he saw himself laying on the table and he also noticed that the machine that monitors his heart was FLAT-LINED for a minute or two. After the operation his doctor told him that his heart stopped beating for a short time, and it started on it's own. I thought that was really wild. If I could leave my body (intentionally) I would travel the world and see the sites. ;D

You know, Beyonder, I think someone in my extended family had the same experience: they saw themselves "dead" or rather "dieing" ....

I suppose Honey Bunny that it is part of the transition to the next level, where all of us humans go after we die, the soul leaves the body.
I wonder how some people can intentionally leave their body and travel into outer space, or just float around?
Fantastic mental concetration I suppose, much like a person walking on hot coals or breaking stone blocks by using only the hand with an intense punch.
