"Ferry Across the Mersey", yes I remember that song, but I didn't know the band who played it.
Thank you for enlightening me, great band.
And I didn't know about the song that was turned down by the Beatles, interesting.

Just read your Kolchak story. Bloody brilliant! I tend to make comments when I read so here they are The doctor explained the dark origin of the NECRONOMICON, and about CTHULU, the astral monster from a parallel universe. Carl was enchanted by the colorful tale relayed from the doctorDark origin.... colourful tale.... nice use of adjectives there Kolchak stated sheepishly: "Well....my editor will bring about the end of the world if I don't go back." It reminds me of a quote from Kolchak , I believe, "You should see the rat I am working for" Carl always wanted to be a writer of novels, rather than a columnist or journalist, that way he could write about whatever he wanted to.[/b] But isnt it what they do anyway? ;D ;D ;D No, I'm just joking! Kolchak: "I'll do what you ask, so you'll spare my meager life."What does meager mean? If anyone who is reading this story right now, can imagine a sinister happy laugh that creeps you out, well, the twisted professor in the story is enjoying the last hours of Earth, and loving it. Feel free to stop reading right now, because....the world is about to endAwww.... Kolchak will save the world, surely? And you can be my best man!A pleasure, I am sure! Kolchak: "No sir, I'm just overwhelmed by your generous offer, and I was merely being humorously optimistic to ease the tension of the excitement. You're about to become a father of a mighty big family of monsters. Congradulations to you and the lucky bride." You gotta love Kolchak and his humerously optimistic tension (I take back what I said about him being too optimistic a while ago) Loved the Kolchak's and Updike's little deal! Classic stuff there! Loved the ending too! Very nice indeed! You should do more Necro (I'll call it that, because I know I'll get it wrong!) stories. I love them! This one was excellent, but the first one was really good as well (eventhough it had a sad ending) This story made me think of a book called The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. You probably haven't heard of it but it is a very good book (in my opinion anyway) and it also features the devil and has magic and the such. And there is also Pontius Pilate (the procurator of the Jews, I think) and it also tells the a story of Jesus and other biblical characters (or people). I think it will be up your stream, Starbeast. That book was banned from the Soviet Union and Bulgakov himself was imprisoned becuase of it. The book deals with quite controversial themes, and it is a metaphor for the Soviet Union (back in Stalin's days, when it was really bad.) The book itself was written in the late 1920s, I think. And scholars even now debate about the meaning behind the last sentance of the book (I wont say it, as it will spoil the story) It is written in a very easy to read manner, and Bulgakov sort of talks with the reader. And it makes you think, its quite philosophical, which is what I like So when you have the time, you can look for it, and give it a go, if you want. Can't wait for the Albert-Starbeast-Style Story. Should be fab!

Hello Lady Bunny,
"The Master & Margarita" sounds intense, and the word meager means, small and insignificant.
I was joyfully overwhelmed by your review, I like how you used quotes from the story that stood out to you. I'm glad you enjoyed it, for me it was a combination "Kolchak Tribute", and a gift to Wesireal for being so highly complementive of the first "Necro-Tale". And for your high complements, I'm going to use your name for a character in the Albert tale I'm composing, as a gift to you.
The Kolchak tale was a special treat for myself, I've been a hugh fan of the show since it aired. And I believe the actor Darren McGavin, who played the character of Kolchak, was an excellent choice to cast him as the newspaper reporter. Since I was so familiar with the character, I thought I could capture the atmoshere of the Night Stalker series. I wanted to use the original characters, like Vincenzo and Updike, and I also wanted to get as close as I could to the way they interact with each other like in the original tv series.
The "ZEN of KOLCHAK" is his urge for justice and having an optimistic attitude. He wants to see the bad guys stopped, people saved and the truth, to be shared by all. His positiveness is focused into his "gift of gab", he can be supportive, sarcastic, or just stalling a villian.
My favorite line from my Kolchak Tale: "Kolchak is coming back!", I got that qoute from one of the two tv movies that were made.

Beastie: And for your high complements, I'm going to use your name for a character in the Albert tale I'm composing, as a gift to you. ;D Oh thank you! How exciting! And thank you fo the treat in my burrow. Wonderful wonderful Starbeast! You are a great man and a great writer! I hope you know that That's what I like about this forum, we are all so friendly and the atmosphere here is so warm and nice. You know, if I have a bad day , I could come on here and read a Kolchak or an Albert or any other story - it will make me smile. The only problem is time... And I can go blubber on and on so I'll stop! Say, how do you find those great pictures in the begining of the chapters? I mean, its not a coincidence that a chapter is about a devil goat and you have a picture of just that (but then again its not every page on the web that contains such a picture) Also, why Kolchak won't go into the police? or become a private detective?

Your welcome, I thought you'd like that. And thank you fo the treat in my burrow. Wonderful wonderful Starbeast! You are a great man and a great writer! I hope you know that Thanks. Ya know, it looks like I've started the "Bunny Adventures" already, in your thread. It's chapter 3, gonig on 4, if you would like me to continue, a bit further. But, that's up to you. That's what I like about this forum, we are all so friendly and the atmosphere here is so warm and nice. You know, if I have a bad day , I could come on here and read a Kolchak or an Albert or any other story - it will make me smile. I echo your statement, I like the peace here. I listen to music piping through the computer from radio broadcasts, everything from the Beatles, to New Age and World music. It's beautiful, and I can lose track of time, as well as the sense of reality. I really get into fantasy stories. The only problem is time... And I can go blabber on and on, so I'll stop! Go ahead and text all of the wordage you want, I like to text alot too. However, when it comes to making a story, I choose my words carefully. As well as paragragh size, so I don't overwhelm a tale.Say, how do you find those great pictures in the begining of the chapters? I mean, its not a coincidence that a chapter is about a devil goat and you have a picture of just that (but then again its not every page on the web that contains such a picture) Photobucket.com, has tons and tons of free images to choose from. Just set up an acct., and pick whatever you want, Mr. Kite led the way for me, it was on his sig. in the other forum. Also, why Kolchak won't go into the police? or become a private detective? Because he loves the newspaper business, his character mentions, in one of the made for tv movies, that he's been a reporter for 22 years.

you know, I posted in here a while back, but my post doesn't show oh well. A new story! Very nice start. Why do I know the name Zora? Let me see if I got it so far: Starbeast and the commander both liked Zora, but she chose Starbeast. Then there was the war, and the three were separated. The commander found Starbeast and Zora is still waiting for Starbeast. And the commander is jelous and so wants to harm the two. Right? Reminds me a bit of The Count of Monte Cristo.

I had this story in my mind for a while, Zora's name is from a Disney "Lion King" movie, and I have never read the "The Count of Monty Cristo". I heard it's a great tale.
Finish the story, and tell me what you think.

Aw such a beautiful story! May I ask what inspired it? I wonder if both of them will continue to live their lives happily.... I mean, knowing that someone loves you and physically being with them is very different. Long Distance relationships, while they do pull you through a hard day, they dont work. But, i suppose that since they are happy, they will walk the right path in life "I have to ask. Why do you love me so much?"[/b] I always wondered weather its the right question to ask. Obviously you do want to know (and me being a curious bunny, wanting to know just goes by nature) but then, you either make the other person blush and be embarresed, or you hear pleasant things but you perhaps expected more.... Or it may look like you are fishing for compliments.... (no, I am not experienced in that department at all ) Count of Monte Cristo - great story indeed. I started reading the book, but it was so hard to read for me. The story didnt flow nicely, I felt. And also (at the time) my English wasn't so good and the book used a mixture of french and old english, so I just gave up reading. And it is a HUGE book (I dont like big books). But I did watch the movie (about 3 versions I think). It's a good story in the way that it makes you think - he sort of becomes the "hammer of God" (in his eyes anyway) and so it makes you think does he have the right the punish all those people who did ill to him. And his wife-to-be also did nothing but waited for him to return. BUT the difference is that she was sort of black mailed to marry (her distant cousin?) and when the count found out he killed him but he told her that he wont see her again becuase she should have waited for him and not marry. And that reminds me of Pearl Harbour (the movie) : if you love someone but then something happens and you think they are dead, dont you have the right to find happiness else where? When your loved one returns, obviously he will be angry that there is someone else in their love's life but you cant blame them. That's what annoys me about love and marriage - you sort have to love one person. I suppose though I'll change my thinking when the time comes *sigh* And I do envy you due to the fact that you can write short and to the point and deep stories, whereas I just go on and on! Having said that, I do have one story that is only in three parts and I quite like how it ends And this is what I call rambling!

Hello Lady Bunny,
I'm glad you liked my short tribal wolf story.
I like a good romantic tale now and then, I'm also an animal fan as well.
Cristo sounds pretty heavy, maybe too much drama for me.
I can get chatty too, besides, I like it when people have alot to say. by texting.

I can get chatty too, besides, I like it when people have alot to say. by texting. I am not a chatty person by nature, but when I do get on an interesting topic I get so excited and animated that people (and myself) lose sense of what I am saying. I just missed a potential chat with you. You were online and now you are off it

Say Beastie, I was browsing the scififorum.org particularly the Writer's Forum (!) and yes, it looks a nice a place with a whole bunch of nice people (and I see Samiface is from there as well), so I was thinking, should I join? Even though I couldn't care much about Sci Fi? I mean, I never watched Star Wars and I know only who are Moulder and Scully in the X files.
Advice?

Sure, the more the merrier. And of course you don't have to be involved in all topics. I still pick and choose, or I just make-up my own thread.

And now for the brilliant new Advernture of Kite and Albert..... (da da dum!) You just happen to be the person who is the "One in a Million"type."Oh how very true! BUT IN THIS CASE, IT HAPPENS TO BE THE HOME OF MR KITE, AND I DO MEAN, THEE ENTIRE HOUSEthe way I imagine this sentance to be read, is funny Yes, or a black hole, or on Earth when the dinosaurs were running eating everything, or.."Aw, you gotta love the old man I wanted you to know.....that I love you like an uncle... I kind of thought of you as a nephew to meAh, the truth at last! Say, Kite, "My word, he called me kite!, the old man must be getting soft" I'm going to take charge, and be a leader!" He stated it like a superhero with his hands on his hips, and head held high.Oooh a bossy kite! watch him get into trouble! or some fanciful tale you'd find on a website forum. THIS IS REALITY!"And better than tv no doubt..... Kite shopping! What a vision!Loved how he tripped the two men Mr Kite: "What would Scotland Yard do without us Dr. Watson?" He struck a match and lit his pipe. "You know Watson, I owe it all to the fine schools I went to as a child."
Albert: "Say what Holmes, which schools did you attend?"
Mr Kite: "Elementry Schools of course Watson, Elementary Schools."Now that is classic! CLASSIC! That would be me at fault for smashing the violin."Aw! That reminds me, have you seen Without a Clue, Starbeast? A WELL DRESSED GENTLEMAN IN A BLACK CAPE, WHO CARRIED A METAL SKULL TOPPED CANE.Sounds like a mixture between Prof. Moriarty and Dr Mortimer! But it's not, right? THE OWNER OF THE DAGGER, WAS NOW WALKING UP TO THE HOUSE. Oh crickey! ALBERT WAS ALREADY CLEANED UP Oh my, the old man IS getting soft... he is clean! Out of his own free will! I am, you can call me JackOh no! It's him! But I do love how you do your villains! Have you read John Lennon's Sherlock-Holmes-Jack-The-Ripper story? It's quite funny, like all his stories really. Excellent stuff, Starbeast! I am sure Mr Kite will love it too, hell, I do! Have you read Mr Kite's Albert-Kite-Holmes story, by the way? [Chapter 7, The House Of Death]

Albert: "You're an ALIEN!"
Mr Kite: "And the RIPPER!"
Killer from Space: "I am, you can call me Jack."
Yes, I do like a colorful villain.
I'm glad you like it so far. I can't say too much about it, it's a secret that's slowly unraveling.
I read Kite's Albert/Sherlock tale, funny, but I didn't want to be influenced by it. "Moriarty" is cool, but I went with the infamous "Jack". I haven't seen "Without a Clue", but I do want to read John Lennon"s stories.

Oh you shouldnt have said that its a secret. Now I will be bugging you to tell me what it is. See, curious bunny Here is a scene from Without a Clue. Quite a treat for me too, I never seen it in neither English nor in colour! As for Lennon, tis a pity that I dont have a scanner.... And it would take me ages to type up that story.... but I'll see how to get it to you
