Wow! What a story! Excellent! Loved every part of it! Even the saddisdtic executioner! Lovely side story and very good 1066 story! History with a touch of music... classic! what are sardies? Why is it called battle of Evermore? That chapter (26, by the way ) shows your very good imagination and story telling gift, Kite (i'd say so anyway). thank you! It was lovely to read (had Octie read it for me) That site! Fancy that, I went to it when I did a project on 1066 about 5yrs ago! An after thought.... I remember always getting mixed up with the two Harolds... there was Harold Godwin and Harold Hadrada ... And then there were two brothers from Denmark i think (or some other viking place.... there are only three come to think of that... ) who claimed the throne. They had funny names which i dont remember.... Knobb was one I think... Funny how monarchs in england often fail to name a succesor and look at what that causes....

Thank You So much . ;D I did enjoy writing this one , as you may have guessed , lots of comedy . The funny thing is I had already had a ending before i even started Sarnies ? They are Sandwiches in these parts Battle of Evermore ? Well how many battles has they been through out history , but you say 1066 to someone and what do the reply ? yep ! Its a battle that will be remembered for evermore . Oh and also its a title of a Led Zeppelin song Dove Stones Here is a pic of a young Kite and a friend at the top of Dove Stones Easter 1981 . What a view ! and note my friends Wall T shirt and Kites not wearing a Denim jacket ! Must have been in the wash And then off to the Hunters we would go .

That was an awesome story! Lots of humour - loved the whole loo-fitting business Very well-written too - you're good at describing things, Kitie I liked the little fable in the beginnig.... there is a similar one in Russian, and then there's the Aesop (or however you spell him) one about the oaktree and the reed... interesting Haha, I kept hearing about "sarnies" but I never knew what they really were, except that they were food. For some reason, I thought they were similar to samosas ;D Beautiful picture too Kind of similar to NZ, except it's more hilly and mostly darker-green around here Keep 'em comin' Kitie
