Kick them when they're up, kick them when they're down. this is just a very random fiction, as I was in the mood for some 80s-ish action themed. Don't take it too serious, haha cause I didn't. The main guy is based on how Robert De Niro was in the 80s. There's a guy showing up later on in the story, he's based off Chevy Chase, also how he looked in the 80s.
Also, just so it's clear, there will most likely be a lot of swearing. and near-sexual stuff. but nothing too graphic and such - hope you enjoy, and if you do, don't hesitate to comment. It's very much appreciated! Nobody likes a criminal. A thief. A schemer. All that. The rotten eggs. But Samantha didn't care at all. She was all of those things. It had started pretty simple. A cat burglar of sorts. Quickly she learned that this was something she was good at. Her strategy was simple enough. Either sneak in and sneak out, or hit and run. Shoot open the place, take what you came for, and be gone before anyone gets hold of you. Little did she know she was being searched for by the cops. Or, rather, she knew they were on her tail most of the time, but now they had decided to take her down before she could find her next mission. Cops she could handle, she figured. Bounty hunters, however... *** Louis sat in a small hotelroom he had booked for the week. The room was hot and stuffy, but he hadn't planned to stay there for long. He was one of the best bounty hunters out there. But also one of the most misunderstood. He came off as a savage, an outlaw who only did it for the money and had little,or no respect for the cops. The money for bringing her in was just high enough for him to be interested. A high price for such an easy target, he thought. She was far too young to outfox him. The price was probably high to make sure bounty hunters were interested, so they would get her quickly. Before she got too slippery. He had seen her pictures and could spot her anywhere by now. A blonde girl with a stupid sneer. Not tall, but not that short either. Perfect for blending in with crowds. She wouldn't fool him, though. It was a pity to send her to jail, but the money ment more, and it was just too easy to give up. The night was slowing seeping over the sky and Louis decided to not waste time. He was going to check out the small places at first. Small bars and such, snooping around. He knew she was in this town and he needed to start narrowing it down. A young girl like her would probably spend some time in exciting bars. Not the ones where brawls would start, though. Those places would often swarm with cops. Louis had been sitting for about half an hour when he saw a blonde girl enter a bar a the other side of the road. He didn't see her face, but there was something about her. He needed to check this out. Entering the club, he looked around to see if he could spot her. And indeed, he could. She was leaning on the counter at the bar, looking at the others around her, as if checking who would be gullible enough to buy her a drink. Which was perfect for Louis. He came up next to her, staring at her face in profile, as she scoped the room. By reading the info-file he had gotten about her, he knew she had been involved with men older than her before. "Looking for anything?" he said hoarsly almost in her ear. Samantha whipped around, startled. "Uh, no.. Actually, I was looking for someone to offer me a drink." she said with a cheeky grin and sat down at a barstool next to her. "Well, if you're thirsty, I'll offer you one" he said and gave her a piercing look. Samantha tilted her head, who's this hunky moron? she thought and lazily scratched the back of her head, "Really?" she sounded dazzled. "Well, then I'll have a tequila sunset" she said with a smile, adding, "you got a name, by the way?" He leaned in a bit, "Louis." he smiled. The tequila sunset was placed infront of her by a busy bartender. Taking a big gulp of it, she looked over it, staring at Louis and his manly features. She set the glass down, "I'm Samantha" she smiled, licking her lips.

An hour and a half had passed, and while Samantha was feeling barely tipsy from the drinks he had offered her, they were going along great. They had laughed, chatted and flirted.
She didn't seem like she was ready to give him up yet, which he found funny as he was thinking just the same.
Louis curled his arm around her, leaning in.
"would you want to keep me company at my hotelroom?" he asked, his raspy voice pushing all her buttons.
Samantha gave him a scanning look.
The idea that he could mean trouble, as in being an undercover cop or something, was far away from her mind. Mostly cause she found him too attractive to dismiss him as someone who was out to get her. There was a certain look in his eyes that she couldn't resist.
"Sure, why not?" she replied with a grin and hooked onto his arm, letting him lead her outside and to his hotelroom.
Just as he unlocked his door and they stepped over the threshold, he pushed himself against her, his lips hitting hers as hard as a slap. He kicked the door shut behind himself as their hands were too busy mauling each other.
His strong body tossed her recklessly on the bed.
Feeling like a ragdoll, she was slightly put off, frowning for a second. His facial expressed got her back on track.
She laughed sheepishly and watched him move about. "Are you just gonna leave me here?" she asked, staring up at the ceiling, kicking around in the air with one foot.
Louis came back, leaning over her, his nose and lips pressed against her cheek, breathing slowly.
He grabbed her arms carefully, but as she felt the metal against her wrists, Samantha bucked and tried to twist out of his grip.
"What are you doing?" she hissed confusedly, looking up at her hands that were cuffed to the bed.
She gave a nervous giggle, "is this some freaky game, or what?" she asked with a half smile on her face.
Louis stood over her, "Sorry, love. It's not. I'm handing you over to the police tomorrow, in exchange for a pretty sum."
Samantha snorted, "excuse me?" she said, twisting her arms a bit.
"Besides, you can't turn me in at the police station here. They're all bent" she said with a grim sneer and a slow laugh.
"Why do you think I've been settled here for a while now? They're all crooked. Just give the chief a small fee and they all turn a blind eye. They'll send you right out the door again, without the money." Her speech was slow and had a mild laugh running through it.
"That's okay. I'll take you to my homestate." he said as he sat down on the edge of the bed.
"In the meantime, you should try to get some sleep" he said patting her leg. Samantha looked shocked and furious. He didn't mind.
As he got up, she angrily kicked after him, almost hitting him in his groin.
"Hey!" he pointed at her, "watch it." he added sternly. Samantha didn't say anything, but she was fuming.
A few minutes passed as he took his time checking his stuff, making sure he wasn't going to forget anything tomorrow. He was finally looking like he might go to bed, and Samantha had been quiet the whole time, mostly out of shame.
As he unbuttoned his shirt, she looked at him, "you know, I could just scream until someone barges in, and I'll say you were trying to rape me." she said with an eerie calmness over her.
Louis looked at her for a couple of seconds. "Yeah, then they barge in and I show the the documents with your records and pictures. And you might be right, maybe the cops here are crooked, but are you willing to take that risk? Maybe they'll betray you? I can understand that they will throw me right back outside, but the media will make a big deal about it, as you were caught in a hotel. And they can't just let you slip away."
His words sunk in while he took off his shirt, and Samantha sighed angrily. She'd have to take things as they were now and try again tomorrow.
In the meantime, she was going to watch him undress.
"You know, Samantha. I've been in this game for years now. You'd have to be pretty slick to outsmart me." he said with a smile as he kicked off his pants.
As he got in his own bed, he turned off the lamp next to him, "Good night, Samantha" he cooed and chuckled at himself. All he got in return was a frustrated snort.

And I see Samantha and Louis are returning! Is the girl in the picture you by any chance? And what is a bounty hunter? Great job, keep writing! hahaha! thank you so much! =D a bounty hunter is someone who goes out to "headhunt" criminals to get a money-reward for turning them in. In movies, this is often by going "outside the law" and such. =) and yep, that's me alright. haha. XD Here's just a quick update! Will probably be more tomorrow too! :3 ------------- Samantha awoke with a jolt as she heard Louis rummage around. Her jolt had her arms pull at the cuffs, stirring the whole bed. A few seconds passed before she could entierly remember where she was and why she was here. Slanting her eyes, she watched him. He put his suitcase by the door, "I was just gonna wake up" he said carelessly and fished out the cuff-keys from his pocket. She could feel his cold leather jacket rest on her face as he reached for her arms, and it annoyed her to the point where it felt like he took forever. She held her tongue, though, and would instead spring on him when given the chance. Just as she felt the metal leave her wrists, she got a burst of enegery and kicked him in the gut. The plan backfired as he lost his ground and collapsed over her. She violently pushed him off, stumbling herself onto the floor in the mayhem. As she was about to get up, he grabbed her ankle with one hand, following it up with grabbing her incoming kick. "Bastard" she hissed, more in general than actually directed to him. She kicked like a wild horse, or tried to atleast, but he crawled his way up her, pressing his bodyweight over her legs, straddling her back. Samantha clawed at the floor, trying to get away, but his hands soon captured her butterfly-flailing arms. The girl groaned angrily, realizing she had nothing left to fight with. He pulled at her arm, giving her some room under him as he flipped her over on her back, facing him. To which she realized he was amused, "haha, you should have seen yourself clawing at the floor." he said with a smirk and a deep laugh. She shut him up as she spat him in the face. Louis looked shocked, disgusted, but also like he took the challenge head on. He looked to the side, still his smile plastered on him. He forced both her arms over her head as she held them both with one hand, using the other to wipe his face, then letting his hand slide down into his jacket where he slowly got out a Browning handgun. Louis felt her budging hands turned soft in his, and her eyes were wide open, fixated on the muzzle of the gun. There was a moment of silence, which he eventually broke. "Now, Samantha. I'll let you go. And from here we're going down and to my car without any fuss. Okay?" He carefully stood up, looking at her as she scrambled herself up from the floor, backing up to the door. "What are you gonna do? Kill me in this hotelroom?" she asked, sounding more scared than she wanted, raising an eyebrow. Louis blurted out with a short laughter as he picked up his suitcase, "no, stupid. I'm not killing you here. I'd hang you out the window and maybe shoot your arm or something." he said jokingly, or well, semi-joking anyway as he hooked her by the arm and pushed her out infront of him. His answer haunted her enough to close her mouth for a while The elevator was slow, the other guests didn't pay attention, and things were not going Samantha's way as they headed to his car.

As they reached his car, a chocolatebrown, edgy and flat Volvo, he grabbed her arm, his gun kissing her spine as he pushed her to the passenger seat. He leaned in with her, cuffing her right arm to door as he closed it. "Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing?" she snapped, but he ignored her as he trotted over to the other side. "You wont get far with this, you know. I might be new in this game, but I'm slick, slicker than you know. I'll slip right out of your grip when you think you've got the upper hand" she rambled on, trying to pull her hand out of the cuff. "Sure!" he said in a sarcastic uplifting tone, rolling his eyes as he ignited the car. *** Louis had been driving for about an an hour, and he could feel in his gut that he had not eaten yet. He glanced over at Samantha, who was spitefully glaring out the window. "could we stop at the next gasstation? I'm starving." Samantha said out of the blue, like if she could read minds. Louis looked at her a bit confused of her calmness. But he decided to play on it. There really was no point in making this trip a dreadful one. "Yeah, alright. There's one not far away" he said, looking back on the road. Minutes passed and they suddenly wound up at the side of the gas station. Louis was about to get out of his car, leaving Samantha behind. "Hey!" she exclaimed, looking at him with furrowed brows. "You can't just leave me here." she whined. He bent down, looking at her through his door. "I'll be quick." he said hastily. "But.. I gotta go.." she said with an annoyed tone. Louis bent down again. "I really gotta go" she repeated with a stare. Louis rolled his eyes but came around the car, opening the door on her side. It resulted in Samantha almost hitting the ground. She felt like cursing, but kept quiet instead. He unlocked the cuff from the car, leaving it to hang on her wrist. "You're not taking it off my wrist?" she asked, holding her hand out. "No, incase I need it again." he said with a shrug as he waited for her to get up. She headed for the bathroom at the back of the gasstation, and for some reason, Louis felt she wasn't going anywhere. Not that there would be any places to go, being that this place was rather deserted. *** Coming out of the bathroom, Samantha twisted at the cuff in frustation. Rounding a corner, she saw a couple of nicely dressed men checking out Louis' car. They didn't seem to notice her, but they were talking to themselves and looking around suspiciously. Samantha was right to guess that they were looking for her. She hurried inside the gas-station, coming up behind Louis, who was busy getting some food. "I'll have two Sprites and two hot dogs.." "Lou, we gotta go. Now." He didn't even look at her as she pulled at his leather jacket. "I already told you to just go." he mumbled, "And do you have any chili hot dogs?" he asked the clerk. "Arh, no, I mean. Someone's tailing us. We need to leave now." she pulled at his jacket again. All she got in return was Louis pulling his arm back. Now he just blatantly ignored her, thinking she was just rambling about something stupid. As he had gotten the food and drinks, he let her have some of his attention. "Christ, there's someone checking out your car. I think they're.." Before Samantha could finish, Louis had spotted the guys, almost dropping all his food. They weren't around his car anymore, but he saw them standing arund their own Ford Transit. "Get in the car" Louis growled, trying to get hold of his car keys without spilling all the food. They both quickly reached the car, trying not to make a scene. Louis dumped the food in Samantha's lap. "Hold this while I make sure they don't follow us" he said with a stressed voice, checking his mirrors as he got the car back on the road.

Both Louis an Samantha kept a watchful eye on the road, but they couldn't see the car anywhere. "I don't think they're following us afterall" the girl said, handing over his share of the food. Louis was still watchfull, but he eased up a bit. The road behind them was empty, which was a good sign for now. It gave him time to wolf down his food.
"But who are those guys anyway?" Samantha asked between chewing, carelessly drinking from her soda.
"You don't know them? Christ, Sam! It's you they're after. It's Russo's men." he whined angrily.
"What?" Sam nearly choked on her hot dog. "ME?! What the hell have I done to him?"
Louis whipped his head towards her, "You're asking me?" he snapped quickly. "you've probably had your greedy hands on his stuff." Louis said as he relaxed back in his seat, keeping his eyes on the road.
Samantha squinted her eyes, trying to think back to if she had ever been involved with any mobsters or such. But she had always worked alone. So unless she had, as Louis suggested, stolen from this Russo-guy, she had no idea why they would want her. Her thoughts wandered boredly and she suddenly flicked the panel infront of her, to reveal a small mirror. Her makeup wasn't that much of a mess, luckily. She pushed and fluffed and twirled at her hair until she gave up and sat back again.
Sighing, Samantha glanced at Louis, "I have no idea" she looked hopeless and took a big sip from the Sprite that Louis had been kind enough to buy her.
It was a shortlived enjoyement though. From above the bottle that was resting on her lips, she could see in the rear-view mirror, a Ford Transit coming up behind them.
"Hmmmhmm!!" she bucked foward, pointing in the mirror, spilling some soda. Her crazy antics had Louis look in the mirror aswell, seeing the car aswell.
"Jesus Christ" he huffed and sped up, his eyes hard on a gun on his left side on the dashboard.
"Samantha, take this gun and aim for their wheels." he said sternly.
She stared at him for a few seconds, then at his gun. She quickly leaned over him, grabbing it hungrily, staring at it as it lay in her hands. Right now she could have aimed the gun at him, have him to whatever she wanted. She could escape. But those blasted guys behind them would screw it up. So she needed to take them out first.
"What are you waiting for?" Louis snapped, not looking at her.
"Roll down the window and blast away. But be careful and keep your head inside the car whenever you're not using the gun. Unless you want you brains smeared all over the road." he explained with a strained voice.
The young girl stared at him, realizing what she was about to do.
And she liked it.

heyy guys! here's an update. a small one though. Was gonna write more, but I need sleep, haha. Been up since 5 am! So i will def write more tomorrow or on friday. =D
-------
She quickly reached for her window and stuck her upper body out, shooting away at the car. "Go for the tires!" Louis barked, stressing to keep his car going fast and steady. "I'm trying!" she said, not really bothering to waste time to aim.
She wanted to add that it was hard because of the wind in her hair, but it was better to just leave it at that.
The girl finally managed to hit their front window.
The glass shattered, making it hard to see. A fist through the glass broke away some of the pieces, so atleast the driver had a clear view.
After a while, Samantha was struck with great luck, having a bullet go right at one of the tires. It made the car swerve and slow down.
"Now duck back in the car" Louis demanded, and so Samantha obeyed.
There was no more gunning from the white Ford behind them, and Louis felt more at ease now, even though they were being followed.
Suddenly the Ford roared past them, despite having a bad tire, and moved infront of them, blocking their car.
"Jesus Christ!" Louis growled and tried to get past them, but every time they kept leaning their car the same way, blocking him.
He swiped the gun out of Samantha's hand and aimed for their wheels, but he had a hard time aiming.
Firing away, he was suddenly out of bullets. "Ah, to hell with it!" he hissed and threw it back in the car. Samanta was watching dumbfoundedly, not knowing what to do.
She stared at Louis, seeing how his mind was on overtime with thoughts racing.
Out of nowhere, he swerved until the car came to a halt in the middle of the road. He stepped on the gas again, now driving off the road and towards something that looked like some abandonded warehouses.
The Ford slowed down and came after them, but not by full force this time.
"What are you doing?" yelled Samantha, her brows furrowed and her eyes wild.
"I'm luring them to these buildings so I can take them out!" he said through gritted teeth.
"What? Are you crazy? Drive back on the road! You'll have us killed! Get back on the road!" She shouted with full panick.
"No!" he replied angrily, but was cut off by Samantha throwing herself at the steering wheel, "I said get back on the road! They'll kill me!" she snapped, trying to take control of the driving.
The car whined and steered to the left, but Louis rammed his shoulder into her, sending her back into her seat.
"Christ!" he murred and gave her a deadly stare.
"Just reload that gun for me." he snapped. "There's more ammo in the glove compartment" he said, looking back at the Ford.
Samantha was still staring at him, frozen stiff.
"Today!" he shouted, stirring back the life in her. Samantha leaned over to get the gun, trembling hands fidgeted to open the glove compartment.
She noticed another handgun in there, a Browning, but decided to leave it for now.
Louis came up around a corner of the buildings, stopping the car. "Gimme the gun" he said, taking it before she could react. "and follow me" he added as he got out of the car.

Samantha followed close by, not saying a word. She was quiet due to the fact that she was scared half to death, and also because her mind was trying to work out a plan to get the hell away from here without Louis and these other morons.
They heard the Ford stop, and now Louis grabbed her arm, pulling her with him as he ran towards a window, breaking it with his gun. "Get in" he mumbled, looking around to see if he saw the men. Samantha frowned, looking at him, but tried to get in as quick as possible.
Louis pushed her butt forward as she was half through, making her stumble to the ground,
"watch it, jackass" she hissed, looking back at him, pushing away some hairs from her face.
"Just stick close to me and we'll get these guys" Louis said as he came through the window aswell.
Samantha wasn't paying attention, but instead was looking around at the spacious storage. There were some huge crates here and there, and a staircase at both ends of the building, that reached up to a open-second floor with a couple of bridges crossing to make it easier to get from one point to another. Up on the second floor there were also some doors that might have led to a roof or something.
"Sure" she said, semi-sarcastically, waiting for him.
Louis peeked out the window, seeing the guys rounding the corner, "Damn!" he blurted out, firing his gun at them.
He saw one of the guys dropping to the ground, and the others taking cover right away.
It was hard to get a clear view from here, so Louis decided to make a run for it inside the building. "Come on!" he snapped, running for the nearest staircase, having Samantha right behind him.
As they reached the top of the stairs and were making it across the metalbridge that went down the long end of the building, the guys stormed in through the window, aiming a bullet-rain towards Louis. "Get that girl! She's unarmed!" one of them yelled. The bullets hit mostly the metal, the sound reverberating through the entire building.
There was a big window next to the door at the end, and Louis fired a bullet at it, making it shatter so they could flee through it, rather than trying to open the door, incase it was locked.
He punched out the remaining glass with his gun, this time going through it first, as he thought they were gonna try and get Samantha alive, or close to alive anyway.
The guys were getting close, and just as Samantha went the window, she could feel splinters from the windowframe rain over her as a result of a bullet.
Samantha stiffled a shriek, following Louis now that they were on the roof of a smaller building.
It was a flat roof, but also served as a bridge to another building. Louis ran up to a long row of crates he could hide behind.
Close by was Samantha, leaning her back to the crates while he was waiting for the guys to come out.
She was trying to regain her breath and at the same time keep her cool. It wasn't working very well. Louis on the other hand, was a bit winded, but still focused. It annoyed her.
But she had to remember her plan. Let the guys and Louis deal with each other, while she ran for it.
Only one of the guys came out the window, and Louis fired his gun at him, but missed. The guy sprinted towards another crate, closer to the window. He only had one crate to hide behind, but it was enough.
"Damn, where are the others!" hissed Louis, knowing that this made things more complicated. Samantha looked at him, seeing how he was desperatly trying to figure out an escape plan. Oh no, we're screwed. thought Samantha. or, I'm screwed with this guy she saw how he gave himself a minute or two to plan something, but it didn't satisfy her, and with a bolt she got up and started running for it.
"Samantha! Get back!" Louis shouted, but she had her mind set on something else.
