The Banana SplitsTHIS WAS MY FAVORITE KID SHOW FROM THE 1960's, EVEN THOUGH IT RAN FOR ONLY A FEW SEASONS, IT STILL PLAYS ON TV IN RERUNS UNTIL TODAY. THE SHOW FEATURED LIVE-ACTION AND CARTOON ADVENTURES, ALONG WITH ZANY AND SILLY BITS FROM THE COSTUMED MUSICIANS WHO RELEASED A FEW ALBUMS. THE CHARACTERS WERE NAMED FLEAGAL (the dog), BINGO (the gorilla), DROOPER (the lion) AND SNORKY (the elephant who didn't speak but honked like a horn), ALSO ALL OF THEM WERE DUBBED WITH CARTOONY VOICES. I INCLUDED THE CARTOONS AND LIVE-ACTION SERIES AND SHORT STORIES THAT WERE FEATURED ON THE SHOW.

I've got good memories of that show, it's on the cartoon Boomerang channel. I remember another cartoon on this show called Gulliver or Gulliver's Tales, or something like that. Where this human teenager and his dog find themselves on an island of tiny people. I'm glad this show returned to tv, there are so many awful shows on tv, like talk shows with creepy people talking about the creepy things they do. I am all for retro programs.
