Erm... leeches bring to mind yucky thoughts... and giant leeches bring to mind even yuckier thoughts... and them attacking is just too scary to think of. Is the title an exaggeration and I can watch it without getting scared ?

Don't be afraid of these types of movies, they are mild compared to todays horror films. I selected a few movies for this site that fall under the "G", "PG" & "PG13" rating, I didn't want to scare all of the critters from Honeyland away. I've seen alot of these films as a kid and have been a fan since.
The 1950's brought in the mutant age of monstrousities to the movies because of governments conducting nuclear bomb testing and no one at the time new the long term effects of it.
This black and white film is a typical example of the way creatures of the atom get bigger and far more dangerous because of radiation exposure.
