[shadow=black,left,300]STARBEAST FROM PLANET X[/shadow] Hello fellow Earth people,
my name is STARBEAST.
I discovered this site through Mr. Kite.
I enjoy most movies, music and a little television. I like to write, illustrate and play the didgeridoo (Austrailian tribal wind instrument).
My interests are science, history, astronomy, nature, animals, ufology, theology, animation, cheese, documentaries, fiction and nonfiction, as well as comic books.
You can joke with me, I do have a sense of humor.
You can ask me whatever questions you want, and I'll try to answer them all. It's a treat for me to make new friends.

Pleasure to meet you both OCTIE and HONEY BUNNY.
I've recently got into blogging, I was hesitant at first, but I really enjoy having conversations with people from all around the world.
You can find me on the SCI-FI FORUM (.org) as well, that was my first blog site. That is where I met Mr. Kite, and many others that befriended me.
It's difficult at times to talk to people about sci-fi, because most people you know don't have that much interest in it. They prefer the same old sitcom senarios and nonsense reality shows. There's no substance for me there, but there's people on-line that are more than happy to gab about movies and writing stories.
By the way, I like the YELLOW SUBMARINE movie too. Oh, and where is Octania? Either of you seen the movie NIGHTBREED?

It is a pleasure to meet you too Starbeast Mr Kite likes his sci-fi, I did try to get into it but... I havent really succeeded yet. I do love debating it though! (or debate anything else for that matter!). I tried watching the xfiles, but... nah, apart from David D's good looks I couldnt find anything there for me. Havent seen (or heard) of Nightbreed, but Octania is a fictional place in Mr Kite's stories I shall return the question: where is Midian Cemetery?

Hello Honey Bunny, I have your answer to Midian Cemetary, and more.
We all enjoy some dark film that we connect with. I used to work for a video store, and I discovered this fact through the thousands of people I've helped through the years. I believe it's that primal part of all of us that is in the deep recesses of our minds. And of course, we dream of what we believe we are, in our secret thoughts. Even GOD knows that.
But, I do enjoy a story that is very different from the mainstream, people call them "Cult Movies", I call them "Dark Fantasy".
This film trailer will give you some insight to Midian.

And of course, we dream of what we believe we are, in our secret thoughts. Even GOD knows that. That is a bloody true statement! Not so sure that God knows that... I mean, what is God or who? Is it our unconciousness concious (I am making up stuff here), or is it a concept we measure our pain in (as John Lennon said) or is it the superior us? (No, I am not religious) [This film trailer will give you some insight to Midian and my choice of avatar. [/b][/quote] Indeed it had Looks good! Not entirely my cup of tea, but it looks good. i heard the name Clive Barker.... from Mr Kite I am guessing... Did he do that film with Pinhead? or someone along those lines. I see that you like The Prisoner too

Hello Lady Bunny,
GOD.....to me, GOD is a "personal quest", GOD can only be found by an individual who looks for him. I know this because I researched GOD for over 25 years of my life, I spoke to scholars and people of all faiths and beliefs, I wanted to know everything about him. Some people are fortunate, and are chosen by GOD to lead and relay information about all things! Others recieve Blessed and Holy experiances that point the way for them to find GOD, or they're given second chances and even great Miracles!
It is the realisation of our mortality that makes us wonder: "Why are we here? Where do we go, when we die? Will my struggles and pain in life be rewarded in some way?" I knew it can't all be meaningless, even when now, the devil makes us suffer, and whispers in our ears to do wrong. We must make a personal stand and better ourselves, so we will be remembered. And those who suffered the most will be cradled in GOD's arms of love. No ONE will be forgotten, and no horrible crime will go unpunished.....so says he.Because, as for all of us humans, we will eventually......die. Hmm, I could make a poem or song out of my statement, I get into it sometimes, and I can feel my spirit rise. But I hope I gave you a piece of knowledge that can be utilized, I usually keep my thoughts about GOD to myself.
I know that the Beatles were disenchanted about faith when their "mentor" turned out to be worthless. They should have pushed on for the "personal quest", but unfortunately they lost all interest and began to use drugs heavily, too bad.
As for Clive Barker, yes he did Mr.Kite's Hellraiser series too.

You sound like a very interesting person. Have you done Religious Studies? It is a good advice to keep one's God thoughts to oneself. I once had a debate about religion with my friends... it was, interesting I think the Beatles did drugs and all that even before they met the Maharishi. Isn't that why they went to India? to clean themselves from the habbit, as it were. But yes, someone told them that the Maharishi was just using them for publicity (actually, we dont know if that's true) and George and John got very angry, from what I know Paul and Ringo couldnt care much about it. George kept going in his personal quest though to reach his Sweet Lord. You could try to make a poem! I'd love to read it. Sometimes I'll read a sentance and that will ignite my imagination and I'll try to write something.... Clive Barker also writes horror books, I saw his books yesterday in the book store. Unless its not the same man

Good day Lady Honey Bunny,
Yes, my "personal quest" included the study of Theology, I wanted insight before I spoke to others.
You're right about most people who strongly debate about what they feel is the right perspective about GOD. I personally don't mind what another person thinks, it's not my business, and I AM NOT the kind of person who tries to shove his own beliefs onto another person. I will answer questions, or give advice when asked, but that's it. I remain silent, humble and respectful of other people, no matter where they are from.
As for the FAB 4, yes George did become more humble and aware of God in his own "quest", his MY SWEET LORD song is beautiful.
Clive Barker does write Sci-Fi/fantasy/horror books, recently Clive is putting his efforts into another project based on his "Tapping the Vein" series. As for myself, I've only read his book "CABAL".
