[shadow=black,left,300]SMOKING GUITARS[/shadow] This is a collection of the early trend-setters of fast playing hard ROCK and ROLL, this was the original starting point of where it all began. Most of which at the beginning, seemed ahead of it's time and a great deal of it was experimental. Through the years of this fast playing hard rock and roll guitar sound, inspirations for other forms of music spawned out into their own types of fast playing monster guitar. Today we now have: HARD ROCK, HEAVY METAL, PUNK ROCK, INDUSTRIAL and the super hard core guitar sounds of SPEED METAL and it's morbidly dark brother, DEATH METAL.
One of the early pioneers of this powerful rock and roll sound of monster guitar was LINK WRAY, he inspired and rubbed shoulders with the big names or rock music. (below is Link Wray playing his famous tune that is most requested from him "Rumble", plus rare interview footage of Mr. Wray talking about the early days)

I highly agree, I love playing it when I'm driving, or just playing air-guitar to it. It's probably what they are best known for.
