Cant listen to the youtube right now... but here are some thoughts about the King He is definately the master of horror. But I find that most of his stories turn out to be very gruesome and not very pleasing to the eye (as it reads). Having said that, I really like the Dead Zone . I simply love Johnny Smith! [the main character]. I might have to re-read it becuase the last part of the book was all about political related things which at the time I didnt really understand. Secret Window, Secret Garden is good as well. I quite liked it. I started reading The Dark Half.... i couldnt get past the first few pages!

Just seen the video. Good advice though. Funnily enough the whole issue with writers who say they dont have time to read was mentioned in the introduction to the H P Lovecraft book I'm reading and it said there that there are far too many writers like that. I find it hard to believe... I mean, most writers are inspired by a book (unless they are inspired by their own life) Lovely shirt as well.

Stephen King.... unfortunately I'm not a horror fan... but if I ever read something of his, it would probably be the Green Mile... we studied the film in my English class back at school, and I quite liked it. it's quite sad, but there is also quite a bit of kindness in it That concept of time-eating monsters from the Langoliers sounds quite interesting too. Dead Zone.... both Mum and Honey recommend it to me occassionally. I dunno, I went to a book store once and opened the Dead Zone on a random page, and it was the one where the main character was having an operation, and was in quite a bit of pain.... I felt really awful for him But I might read it at some point.

The problem I have with the Green Mile is that there is so many volumes to it! But it is a very good story. The movie wasnt too bad.
The Dead Zone and the Longoliers are my two SK favourites, I think .
