Halloween is coming close. (In fact if you swap the date of today you will get an early Halloween!, yes it is the 13th today)
Lets get into the Halloween spirit (geddit!) early and talk about anything Halloweenish!
It is a favourite theme in the Albert stories too.

A Halloween Story. In South Africa I had a friend that went hardout on a Halloween Party. She decorated the house with glowing in the dark skeletons and spiders and pumpkins and the lot, and her mom made us spider chocolates and she and her sister dress up real cool. And we went around trick or treating and and one of the people said he will give us sweets if we sing him a song. So we broke into a chorus of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! My friend got really infuriated with the man as she thought he was a perv (sadly, I cant remember the reason) ... it was a while ago

Interesting clip, Starbeast.
Its amazing how events evolve into what they are today. Take Guy Fawkes for example... It was a plan to blow the govt that went wrong, and what do we do now? We have fireworks on that day. (V for Vendetta, anyone?)
In Israel we stil call Halloween as All Saints Day (only we say All Saints Night). Ha, imagine tricking these days would involve breaking apart fences! That would result in hell of vandalism!

no-one really bothers with it around here..only thing i like about it is that is means its very soon to bonfire night ^_^ thats when you get to light fires without accusation that your a pyromaniac. Some of the others in the village have started creating the bonfire but it looks pretty pathetic..il probably have to go and help out,but as for haloween its just sort of acknowledged..but not really celebrated, except my neice is going out trick or treating it will be her first time =)

thats when you get to light fires without accusation that your a pyromaniac. "Do you know how the fire started?" "Heat, sargenat" "Yes, but did you have anything to do with, that's what he meant ... I think" "Do I look like a pyromaniac?" my neice is going out trick or treating it will be her first time =) Cute! I hope she has fun! I think what people do here is mainly have halloween themed parties. On the note of scariness... did anyone realize that next month there will be Friday the 13th!!!!!! Ooooooh!

So, how did you all celebrate Halloween? We gave out sweets for the kids but at some point we ran out so we made it look like there's no one at home (we closed all the windows and didnt answer the door)... Quite mean really... hehe!
