[shadow=black,left,300]HOWARD PHILLIPS LOVECRAFT[/shadow] I finally finished my short story exercise, it was also a homage to the great writer Mr. H.P.Lovecraft who inspired me. I used bits of his work in order to create a story, which I made to strengthen my writing abilities and expand my ever-growing imagination. I also dressed up my tale of horror, "NECRONOMICON: The LOST PAGES", with some artwork befitting the Cthulu Mythos story.
I wish to write another exercise story to further my skill as a potential professional writer. And it's alot of fun too. I have a few story ideas floating around in my head, that will eventually flow into my fingers to text on this site.

Oh damn, I was hoping for more...... It was a sad ending. I enjoyed it very much! I could picture it, you know, the snow, and the city of gold... beautiful! Just one question: so there is more than one book of the Necronomicon? I saw two familiar character names there Howard must have a very strong stomach... murdering two people and seeing his best friend dying... blimey!I actually thought that once they found the treasure one of them will turn onto the other, but as soon as Philip cried "Howard its all ours" I knew it was his end. We want another one Starbeast (or is ir Starbyst? )

[shadow=black,left,300]HOWARD PHILLIPS LOVECRAFT[/shadow] Lovecraft/Starbeast Interview Hello Lady Honey Bunny and Wesireal,
I've talk to Lady Bunny before, but I haven't met you Wesireal, post a thread here in the "Wall" section for yourself, so everyone can learn more about you, my friend. Thank you Wesireal for your excitement for more of my reworkings of the master writer Mr. Lovecraft. I hope you understand that I use chunks of Mr. Lovecraft's work, as well as others and piece together a story.THE INTERVIEW H. BUNNY: I was hoping for more, OH damn! STARBEAST: "The first story, was a short-story four chapter tale, I wanted to just "test the water" of my writing style, I didn't want to make it too long. It's easier for me to get a grasp on really writing a story in its true form as it would appear in an anthology novel. I thought it turned out well too, I'm happy with the result."H.BUNNY: It was a sad ending. STARBEAST: "Yes, alot of Mr. Lovecraft's characters and tales usually have sad and hideous endings, besides I feel that an uncaring and selfish character should "get theirs" at the end. But in a Lovecraft story, it must have a dark and terrible closure to them. I actually had two different endings planned in my mind, but the finishing result was still going to be the same. I simply chose the best one, out of both."H.BUNNY: I enjoyed it very much! I could picture it, you know, the snow and the city of gold.....beautiful! STARBEAST: "Thanks, I believe the only way you can help the reader understand what the environment is like and what the structures look like, is to get very detailed about everything. I've noticed that in many novels I've read, I could picture wonderful places, taste the food and even see the faces of the characters. Being highly descriptive is the only way for people to visualize what is being talked about."H.BUNNY: Just one question: so there is more than one book of the Necronomicon? STARBEAST: "Well, Mr.Lovecraft mentions occasionally in his stories, that the NECRONOMICON is always a hand-written book. And it is copied secretly between evil sorcerer's who want their own copy, and must remain a hidden book."H.BUNNY: I saw two familiar character names there. STARBEAST: "You're refering to Mr. Kite23 as Mr. Kite, and Mr. Starbyst as myself? Sure it's us, I thought it would be fun to be part of a horror story, and since Mr. Kite23 is a fan of horror, I thought he'd get a blast out of that."H.BUNNY: Howard must have a very strong stomach.....murdering two people and seeing his best friend dying...blimey! STARBEAST: "I wanted Howard to be tough, selfish, uncaring, greedy and the kind of person who would do anything to get what he wanted. As for his only soft-side, that would be his love for his best friend Phillip, they were like brothers. I wanted to show that strongly when Phillip was dead and Howard hugged his friend's head while crying, and repeatedly saying his friend's name, until he was interrupted by a dangerous creature. Like Howard would say: "I would do anything for Phillip.", including saving his soul."H.BUNNY: I actually thought that once they found the treasure, one of them will turn onto the other, but soon as Phillip cried: "Howard, it's all ours!", I knew it was his end. STARBEAST: "The old... "there can only be one to have everything", has been done too many times, I thought. But I did like the other usual downfall, where over-confidence of one's self leads to one's own demise."H.BUNNY: We want another one Starbeast (or is it Starbyst?). WESIREAL: Yes Yes Go on give us another and then another. STARBEAST: "It's Starbeast, and yes, there are more stories on the way. I didn't expect anyone would even be remotely excited about stories of sci-fi mixed with horror. There are alot of talented people here doing poetry and exciting/drama sci-fi tales. I'm glad to be here, I feel welcomed and a part of the group."

Hello Beastie,
The best I can say is that I am ancient and trying to be young again. I really like your writing. Keep it up.

Greetings Wesireal from the Golden City of Cthulu,
You may be old, but you still have a young heart and a bright spirit.
I will do my unearthly best to entertain you with magick, my mysterious, non-avatar friend. My next strange story will arrive hopefully next week, I'm kind of occupied with my earthly job, working for Cthulu right now. And some of my astral monster friends wish to see me without my mask.
I'm glad you greatly enjoyed the "ARKTOS" tale. - Starbeast

I see we have a new story, Beastie! I like the characters' names! I take it , it is related to the Necronomicon tale you wrote before? Also, how do you pronounce Cthulu? And why are you reading it in a locked room? just wondering NB. Yes, a Honey is a one that asks a lot of questions ;D

[shadow=black,left,300]LOVECRAFT and STARBEAST[/shadow] H.BUNNY: I see we have a new story, Beastie! STARBEAST: "I do my best to keep my word, Lady Bunny. And because of the wonderful feedback I have gotten. I thought that was nice."H.BUNNY: I like the characters' names! STARBEAST: "Me too. I used names from the tv show The NIGHT STALKER (Kolchak and Tony the editor), your name (the Librarian), Mr. Wesireal (the Professor), H.P.Lovecraft (a Doctor who works at the university), and myself (the Detective). I think it's fun to be in a story."H.BUNNY: I take it , it is related to the Necronomicon tale you wrote before? STARBEAST: "No, it's a different story. I just wanted to write another "Lovecraft" tale, because I'm a big fan of his work. There have been others who were inspired to write short stories relating to the "Cthulu Mythos" (lovecraftian tales). Such writers as August Derleth, Robert E. Howard and even Robert Bloch who wrote his famous story PSYCHO. I wanted to be a part of the "Horror Pack".H.BUNNY: Also, how do you pronounce Cthulu? STARBEAST: "It's pronounced, KT-WHO-LOO. Mr. Lovecraft was certainly ahead of his time, coming up with such fantastic names."H.BUNNY: And why are you reading it in a locked room? just wondering STARBEAST: "I want to keep my copy of the NECROMONICON secret, and the weak-minded tend to go mad reading the evil book. As well as being in close proximity to it, can also make a person paranoid and mad. It has been known to upset animals who are close to it. I myself, can only read a little at a time, because the minions of the mighty CTHULU are always watching us who come in contact with the book."H.BUNNY: NB. Yes, a Honey is a one that asks a lot of questions ;D STARBEAST: "Nothing wrong with asking questions, I'm the curious type too, but I first, understand the boundries. Oh by-the-by, what does "NB" mean?"
